Course Description

This course utilizes cinema as a medium to guide students across the four fundamental domains of Science (Rationality), Art (Sensibility), Philosophy (Subjectivity), and Myth (Spirituality). 

The curriculum aims to explore the spiritual and mental transformations of masters when their professional expertise is pushed to its absolute limits, further reflecting upon contemporary cross-strait tensions, digital crises, and ecological shifts. 

The ultimate goal is to inspire students to transform classroom reflections into "Grand Tour Actions," reclaiming the meaning and dignity of the living subject through physical practice in the real world.

【課程宗旨】

本課程旨在帶領大學生穿透當代「波譎雲詭」的社會表象，透過物理、數學大師的「崇高美學」為基底，結合藝術與哲學的心靈史，並藉由神話的原型力量，建立一套完整的生命座標。課程最終強調「身體性」的落實，主張生命教育不應止於課堂，而應轉化為一場「行萬里路」的實踐行動。學生將在專業知識（形式）與壯遊行動（存在）的對話中，反證出生命主體的最高價值與行動力。

Course Objectives / Rationale

This course is designed to lead university students through the "turbulent and treacherous" surface of contemporary society. By grounding our exploration in the "aesthetic of the sublime" found in the works of great masters in physics and mathematics, we integrate the intellectual histories (spiritual biographies) of art and philosophy, alongside the archetypal power of myth, to establish a comprehensive coordinate system for life.

The curriculum ultimately emphasizes the fulfillment of "embodiment." It asserts that life education should not be confined to the classroom but must be transformed into a "Grand Tour"—a practical endeavor of traveling ten thousand miles. 

Through the dialogue between professional knowledge (Form) and the action of the Grand Tour (Existence), students will paradoxically verify the supreme value and agency of the living subject.

這份課綱的核心在於「反證」：

科學反證了宇宙的浩瀚與人的渺小。

藝術反證了感官的局限與靈魂的豐富。

哲學反證了語言的邊界與意識的無限。
